AMHERST, New York--Ivoclar Vivadent has introduced the new bluephase G2, a cordless polymerization light that offers limitless LED curing to the dental office.
Suitable for clinical situations, the LED unit can be used for the fast polymerization of light-curing dental materials in the wavelength range of 380 nm to 515 nm.
To date, conventional LED lights have not been suitable for universal use due to their narrow emission spectrum. Like halogen lights, the innovative bluephase G2 achieves a broad light spectrum of 380 nm to 515 nm.
With its specially developed Polywave LED, the bluephase G2 light is suitable for light initiators. Its use is unrestricted.
Due to the virtually noiseless built-in cooling fan, the bluephase G2 light can be used for an unlimited period of time to cure indications. For example, the bluephase G2 can be used for cementation procedures involving multi-unit restorations without going into automatic shutdown to cool. Other LED lights require up to 10 minutes to cool before they can be used again. This costs time and money.
A cordless design based on 60-minute capacity lithium polymer batteries offers a high degree of mobility. The light can be used when needed with the Click & Cure function. The handpiece can be connected with the power cord of the charging base to enable continuous operation, even if battery power runs out.
Other features of the bluephae G2 include light intensity of 1,200 mW/cm2 for reduced curing times starting from 10 seconds, a 10 mm light probe for a larger curing area, and three available modes for maximum, deep, and stress-reduced polymerization.
The unit also has seamless construction of the housing for practice hygiene, as well as a modern OLED color display for readout quality. In addition, the movement sensor ensures readiness for operation.
