$30, $32, $34, $35, $36
Observation: The above rates represent a broader range of common pay rates than what you will find in most states. The most common hourly rate of all is $35, but not by much. It would appear that most hygienists in North Carolina are familiar with the $34 to $36 range.

- 23% of production or hourly rate, whichever is greater
- In addition to hourly pay, I receive 1% of my production at the end of the month, $5 per sealant and pan taken, and $2 for each recall appointment scheduled prior to patient leaving office
