Editor’s Note: I recently shared this message with my personal email list. I received such positive responses and I was asked to share it with my RDH eVillage community.
What I’m not always proud of. I'll tell you something I am not always proud of: I can get derailed in my career.
Also, my mind can give me great excuses during the holidays such as, "This is the time you should be with your family and resting; you shouldn't have to work so hard..." and on and on like this.

The way we do anything is the way we do everything.
I noticed this "derailment" beginning in the fall of this year. I did not want to push myself; I wanted to just take it easy. Then I pulled in energy from the universe and gave myself that little nudge.
It is December, and I do invite us all to rest and hang with our loved ones a lot! Unplug, play, and drink in life's simple pleasures during this holiday time.
Moreover, I'll ask you: What would it feel like to have one more career accomplishment under your belt for 2014, complete a goal or a contribution to a client this month?
While most people use the holidays as an excuse to pull back in their career, I'd recommend using the holiday and the New Year as an excuse to complete “one” item from your 2014 goal list. Here's the skinny, and this tip can be worth thousands if you embrace it!
Goal setting is part of the human experience. People have always needed something to strive for, something upon which to focus energy and effort. It is so much easier to set goals than to be a strong finisher!! Success is not achieved by accident.
Tap into why you wanted what you wanted this year. Then feel the sense of possibility that you can achieve your vision, and feel a commitment to invest in yourself.
Finish strong! Jump into your final little holiday career "push." You can do this!
Love during this holiday time!
