The 37th edition of the International Expodental will take place Oct. 15-17, 2009, in the new pavilions of Fiera Roma exhibition grounds in Rome, Italy.
The new location offers visitors and exhibitors the opportunity to combine the latest technological-cultural developments with tourism in Rome, the Mediterranean hub for contacts and business.
The new exhibition centre is well connected to the city by a dense network of public transport and a round-the-clock taxi service. The new building has been given a modern and efficient system capable of transporting visitor flows to and from events of international standing, such as the International Expodental.
Fiera Roma comprises 14 pavilions fitted with leading-edge technology and covers an overall gross area of 390,000 square metres, 30,000 of which are used for public parks and gardens and 150,000 of which are used for covered exhibition areas and office buildings. A modern and fully equipped Congress Centre comprises 13 rooms with variable-capacity and seats a total of 3,300 guests.
The International Expodental will cover three pavilions of more or less 9.000 sqm each and should attract more than 300 exhibitors.
The itinerant exhibition was born 40 years ago by an initiative of the Italian dental manufacturers, held concurrently with scientific events. Accompanied by the Italian dental sectors, Expodental grew through the years.
In 1987, Milan was chosen as a permanent location for an event that had become a reference point and had been awarded an international acknowledgment. in 1991, the FDI annual Congress was held in Milan along with the 19th edition of Expodental.
Record attending figures (400 exhibitors, 40,000 visitors, 15,000 sqm) in this occasion brought the exhibition and the Italian dental market under the spotlights.
