The JV has announced the filing of a Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) that will allow the JV 30 months to file patents in approximately 150 different countries. The filing dates of those patent filings will allow protection under the patent-pending status as of July 17, 2012, which was the original filing date for the patent in the U.S.
OSHA For Dentistry recently wrote an article entitled "Recent Death from Contaminated Dental Waterlines Demonstrates Life & Death Importance of Monitoring Water Quality" written by Kerry Martin on April 4, 2012, that stated: "The dental community is on a high alert after an 82-year-old Italian woman died in February due to complications related to Legionnaires' disease--a life-threatening type of pneumonia caused by Legionella bacteria--which she acquired while receiving dental care."
Dr. George Green, CEO of UDHI, stated: "I have been concerned about this problem for many years and I have been working diligently on trying to find a solution. The recent filing of our patent by UDHI and
Drinkable-Air relates directly to curing this type of problem with water used in dental offices. We are not just relying on our patent as our JV group will have a working model of the product to eliminate this
problem in dental offices by sometime in October of this year."
The company announced a Joint Venture Agreement with Drinkable Air to develop new products for the dental industry, and Energy Edge Technologies Corp had entered into an agreement to purchase all of Dutchess Private Equities Fund LTD shares and warrants in UDHI to make them a major shareholder in UDHI.
