The donation wills benefit America’s ToothFairy affiliates that participate in the NCOHF Oral Health Zone Program throughout Arizona, Virginia, the Washington, D.C., metro area and the San Francisco Bay region. The America’s ToothFairy Affiliate network consists of community-based nonprofit programs dedicated to providing educational, preventive, and restorative services for underserved children in need of care.
“Xlear is proud to provide the America’s ToothFairy affiliate network with this donation of Spry toothpaste containing xylitol to help the children and families they serve to maintain good oral health,” stated Blaine Yates, CEO of Xlear.
“We commend the commitment and dedication of National Children’s Oral Health Foundation: America’s ToothFairy to help ensure vulnerable children have the healthy smiles they deserve.”
Added Fern Ingber, NCOHF president and CEO: “Xlear’s underwriting and product support is vital to prevent the unnecessary suffering associated with tooth decay. There are so many who simply cannot afford even the most basic resources necessary for the prevention of dental disease. This donation of Spry toothpaste from Xlear will help the America’s ToothFairy affiliate network equip those most vulnerable with the tools to fight tooth decay, the No. 1 chronic childhood disease.”
Providing dental benefits as demonstrated in field studies, xylitol is found in many fruits and vegetables, as well as other organic sources, such as corn cobs and birch trees. Spry toothpaste contains xylitol, and is part of the Spry Dental Defense System. This includes gums, mints, oral rinse, children’s tooth gel, and oral moisturizer.
