If earning or maintaining your DANB certification or finding exciting new ways to earn continuing dental education credits are among your 2012 resolutions, the DALE Foundation offers new ways to meet your goals. The DALE Foundation, the official DANB affiliate, recently launched two new interactive e-learning products: the DANB GC Review Part I and the DANB ICE Practice Test.
The DANB GC Review Part I is an online course that covers important topics and patient scenarios related to general chairside assisting — making it a great primer to prepare for the DANB General Chairside Assisting (GC) exam.
“I like the idea of working on courses on my own time,” says Allison, a dental assistant from Colorado. “These courses are easy to navigate; I can save wherever I left off and pick it right back up the next day. I am also able to make my own notes and review them before I take the test.”
The GC exam is a component exam of DANB’s Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) exam. The other two CDA exam components are the Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) and Infection Control (ICE) exams.
To help dental assistants review for DANB’s CDA exam, the DALE Foundation offers two additional review courses — the DANB RHS Review and the DANB ICE Review — to round out their study plans.
“With the DALE Foundation’s courses, it’s easy to identify what you really need to know,” Brandy from Georgia explains. “The courses confirmed what I already knew and identified resources for me to get more information. It’s a great learning tool!”
The DALE Foundation also offers study aids* such as the new DANB ICE Practice Test, which includes 200 sample questions**, sample tests with 50 questions each and multiple options for feedback. This interactive tool allows you to create customized practice tests and to bookmark specific questions to review later.
Other study aids from the DALE Foundation include the DANB RHS Practice Test, which also features 200 sample questions, and the Glossary of Dental Terms.The DALE Foundation’s study aids can be used on mobile devices for on-the-go learning. The study aids also feature games and customized practice tests.

If you’re looking to renew your DANB certification, you can earn Continuing Dental Education (CDE) credits by successfully completing the DALE Foundation’s review courses or dental office management courses. Choose from the following courses now available:
