Dear Colleagues,

The ADIA provided a compelling faculty for its two-and-a-half-day program in Las Vegas, Feb. 10-12, 2011. Attracting nearly 400 hygienists, assistants, and front office staff members, the Auxiliary program began on Thursday afternoon with ancillary topics presented by Sonja Lauren, Patti Di Gangi, and James Cowheard.

On Friday, ADIA’s executive director introduced the digital advances of online credit distribution and the digital submission of attendee questions. The day’s speakers included Dr. Arthur Acker, Dr. Yvan Poitras, Audrée Beaudin, Dr. Dwayne Karateew, Teresa Duncan, Lynn Mortilla, and Dr. Sharon Azavedo.

Concluding the Auxiliary symposium on Saturday were full-day certification programs as follows:

  • Ann-Marie DePalma and Stacey Matsuda gave the Dental Hygiene Implant Certification Program (DHICP)
  • Karen Young presented the Practice Management Implant Certification Program (PMICP)
  • Vavi Bohbot conducted the Dental Assisting Implant Certification Program (DAICP)

Teresa Duncan and Michelle Kratt conducted the Implant Coordinator Training Program.

Congratulations to the ADIA new fellows:

  • Vavi Bohbot
  • Michele Guiberson
  • Michelle Kratt
  • Stacy Matsuda
  • Kim Pajak
  • Misty Palmer
  • Staci VanLoo

The ADIA Awards Ceremony also highlighted the 2010 ADIA Ambassadors who work very hard between meetings fulfilling the ADIA Mission and Vision, and honored the 2010 Educator of the Year, Teresa Duncan.

We are preparing for our next symposium to be held in Chicago, Aug. 18-20, 2011. We hope to see you there!
