Gloves Off: Infection control—you promised to do no harm

June 14, 2022
More than 80% of dental practices think they’re doing infection control well, but are they? In this episode of Gloves Off, Dr. David Rice and Tija Hunter talk about how to keep up with ever-evolving infection control guidelines.

Our priority every day is to keep our patients, our teammates, and ourselves safe in the dental office. More than 80% of practices think they’re doing infection control well, but are they really? The best way we can ensure safety is by making sure we are current on infection control guidelines and recommendations.

Those recommendations are not just suggestions; state dental practice acts pick up the guidelines set forth by the CDC, OSHA, and OSAP and turn them into law. You need to have one team member in your office who is dedicated to staying on top of infection control guidelines—an infection control coordinator—and that person can make sure team members are aware of the practices and comply.

Join us in this episode of Gloves Off, as we delve into the importance of infection control, where to get help in staying current with the latest infection control guidelines, and how to develop a team member for your practice whose sole job is to oversee infection control.
