What do love about this dental restoration? What’s an absolute no-no?

Here’s what I thought went well:

  • Isolation
  • Busting out the slow-speed—love the care to be careful
  • Great contour

Here’s what I didn't like so much:

  • I’m crushing most of this prep all day now with my Solea laser (anesthesia free by the way). Then I’ll fine-tune with slow-speed.
  • Never dip in adhesive! It changes the composite chemistry. For that matter, I’m not dipping at all. Use composites and instrumentation that eliminate the sticky.
  • I’m bulk-filling this all day and getting as close to monolithic as I can. Too many layers add too much time and room for error at every layer’s interface.
