Sirona's CEREC inLab system now in 60 laboratories
CEREC inLab restorations are now available in dental laboratories throughout the nation. With 60 laboratories on board -- and growing -- Sirona's CEREC inLab system is making a huge impact in the lab market while meeting the demand from dentists for strong and esthetic all-ceramic CAD/CAM restorations. The CEREC inLab system has been largely accepted by small to medium-sized labs, but large national labs such as Trident Dental Laboratories, Continental Dental Laboratories, and Prudental Laboratories have most recently integrated the CEREC inLab technology. The CEREC inLab system was introduced to the laboratory market at Lab Day Chicago in February 2002, and has since been met with rave reviews.
"We were looking for a system that would allow us complete control over our restorations and give the dentist and patient what they were looking for -- a perfect fit combined with high quality esthetics and unmatched strength," said Laurence Fishman, President, Trident Dental Laboratories. "We feel confident that by fully integrating the CEREC inLab into our laboratory, we are now providing our clients with the best possible restorations, and better yet?the system's flexibility adapts to each dentist's prep and placement techniques."
The CEREC inLab system, the latest addition to Sirona's CAD/CAM product line, mills crown copings and 3-unit bridge frameworks out of single, solid blocks of VITA In-Ceram material. VITA In-Ceram maintains an impressive 98 percent success rate at six years in-vivo, with 11 total years of clinically proven use in millions of restorations worldwide, making it the most successful and reliable all-ceramic system available.
The beauty of CEREC inLab restorations begins at the core, with absolutely no dark lines at the supragingival margin. The CEREC inLab system gives the lab technician complete artistic freedom, allowing the laboratory to create a most natural-looking restoration, with a vibrant beauty. In addition, CEREC inLab restorations require no extra work by the dentist, accommodating both shoulder and chamfer preparations. The finished restorations can be placed using either conventional cementation or with bonding agents, allowing for easy placement using standard techniques.
