Productive Practices has announced two shoulder support systems for the dental office: the Relax Armrest, a two-dimensional armrest best for the nondominant arm, and the Hydro Armrest, a three-dimensional armrest best for the dominant arm.

Productive Practices carries two shoulder support systems, the Relax and Hydro Armrests, which offer relief to the neck and back while providing a full range of motion. The Relax Armrest is a two-dimensional armrest that swings from left to right and extends in and out. The armrest can be set at different heights. Once it is set, it stays level and does not bounce up and down. While it can be used by either arm, this armrest is typically used by the nondominant arm. It's ideal for stabilizing a mirror or just stabilizing an arm to take the pressure off of the shoulders, neck, upper back, and arms.

The hydro armrest offers three-dimensional telescoping support. The Hydro Armrest swings from left to right, extends in and out, and moves up and down with its tension-adjustable spring action. Offering very light support and a full range of motion, this armrest is typically used by the dominant arm of the clinician. The Hydro Armrest can also be used by the nondominant hand although it is less common to use it this way.
