Savannah, Ga., dentist wins local Entrepreneur of the Year Award

The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council has announced their choice for Entrepreneur of the Year -- Dr. Brad Durham. This prestigious award was announced during the Small Business Trade Show and Annual Banquet, held at the Savannah Riverfront Marriott on June 1, 2004.

"Dr. Durham exemplifies great leadership within a small business structure. He has been in business since 1982. He will be a superb ambassador for local businesses during the next year. He is a visionary with a positive attitude, the epitome of a successful businessman. Brad is an individual who believes people come first. You can see this in everything he does, which includes his family, the people who work with him, his patients, as well as his community," says Marjorie Young, Chairman of the Small Business Council.

The criteria for Entrepreneur of the Year award include: high ethical standards, serves as an advocate for his/her profession, is recognized by peers as a successful and innovative practitioner, and is someone who creates new ideas and concepts within their profession.

Dr. Durham was recently earned a Mastership in Aesthetic Neuromuscular Dentistry degree; the highest degree obtainable in this field. One Savannah attendee who is also a satisfied patient said, "You couldn't find anyone more deserving, Dr. Brad is such a hard worker and is committed to giving his patients the best care. Dr. Durham attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina majoring in Chemistry. He received his dental training and degree from the Medical University in Charleston, S.C. He and his wife, Louise, live on Wilmington Island with their two children, Jessica and Blake.
