International symposium on dentofacial development set

Event, one of the most important in the fields of craniofacial biology, orthodontics, and dentofacial orthopedics, is scheduled for June 18-22, 2006, in Chicago.

The 11th International Symposium on Dentofacial Development and Function, one of the most important events in the fields of craniofacial biology, orthodontics, and dentofacial orthopedics, will be held in Chicago at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers from June 18-22, 2006.

In addition to an exciting scientific and clinical program on the Chicago lakefront, an outstanding social program is planned. The meeting presents an opportunity for clinicians and researchers to meet dentofacial specialists from all over the world and gain exposure to the latest advances in research, techniques, and products through educational courses and a trade exhibit.

The 2006 Symposium is being organized by Carla A. Evans, Adriana Da Silveira, Indru Punwani, Budi Kusnoto, and Nayra Grau-Marrero.

The previous symposia were organized by prominent clinicians and researchers from around the world, namely Jose Dahan, Samir Bishara, Birte Melsen, Athanos Athanasiou, Ennio Gianni, Adrian Becker, Hans George Sergll, Nejat Erverdi, and Kurt Faltin Jr. In reverse order, the biennial symposia have been located in Bahia (Brazil), Istanbul (Turkey), Mainz (Germany) Jerusalem (Israel), Athens (Greece), Beragamo (Italy), Rome (Italy), Aarhus (Denmark), Chicago, Brussels (Belgium).

In 2008, the meeting will be held in Alexandria (Egypt) under the leadership of Abbus Zaher.
