SANTA BARBARA, California--The Isodry dental isolation system has been named a Pride Institute Best of Class Technology Award winner for 2013.
The awards recognize dental products that improve workflow for the dentist and improve results for the patient. The 2013 award-winners were announced in July. Designed and manufactured by Isolite Systems in the USA, Isodry is one of 18 honorees to be named to the 2013 list. Proper dental isolation is important to dental procedures because it minimizes contamination thereby contributing to clinical success. The Isodry dental isolation system is a proven, easy-to-use alternative to traditional forms of dental isolation, such as the rubber dam or manual suction and retraction. The system aids in dental procedures by improving patient management and giving dental professionals control of the oral environment: keeping the patient mouth open, improving visibility, controlling suction and oral humidity, and minimizing sources of contamination. The key to Isolite Systems’ dental isolation technology are the Isolite mouthpieces that work with the company’s systems. Morphologically correct Isolite mouthpieces are available in five sizes and are designed to fit patients from pediatric to large adult. The range of mouthpieces means that it is now much simpler to have effective isolation for patients. Isolite mouthpieces are soft and comfortable and provide an added measure of safety during the dental procedure, protecting the patient from foreign body aspiration and shielding the tongue and cheek from injury by the handpiece or other dental instruments. “We are extremely honored to receive the Pride Institute Best of Class Technology Award for our Isodry system,” said Jim Hirsch, Isolite Systems founder and director of product development. “We absolutely believe that our isolation systems are changing the world of dentistry for the better. The recognition from the Pride Leadership Panel is meaningful in that the panel doesn’t select winners lightly. Your product has to really pass the test.” The Pride Institute Best of Class Technology awards were launched in 2009 as a new concept to provide an unbiased, nonprofit assessment of available technologies in the dental space. A panel composed of leaders in dental technology convenes each year to determine the honorees. Organized by Dr. Lou Shuman, president of Pride Institute, the panel includes Dr. Paul Feuerstein, technology editor of Dental Economics®. Winning products from the 2013 Pride Institute Best of Class Technology Award will be featured Oct 31-Nov. 3, 2013, in a special Technology Expo during the ADA Annual Session in New Orleans. Awards will be presented to the winning companies at a private reception on No. 1. For more, visit www.isolitesystems.com or call (800) 560-6066.
