Dental Hygienist Salary Survey 2014

Difficulty in finding a job as a dental hygienist in Louisiana

Observation: Louisiana provided a bare minimum of responses, but the percentages for “somewhat” and “very” difficult to find a dental hygiene position are way of whack for the national averages.

Length of time since last pay raise in Louisiana

Observation: “Three to five years ago” was during the recession, of course. The more recent raises are both several percentage points below the national averages.

Most common hourly pay rates in Louisiana

$36, $40

Observation: The fact that a southern state competes very aggressively with national averages speaks volumes.
