Keller Laboratories, Inc., a family-owned full-service dental laboratory, recently moved its St. Louis lab to a new facility. The relocation to the newly constructed building at 160 Larkin Williams Industrial Court is a move of only a few miles from the previous location in south St. Louis County.
Keller's move to a larger St. Louis facility is in response to growing production demands. The new 36,720 square foot space provides twice the amount of production space. It also includes an additional 1,700 square feet dedicated to internal training and research and development.
"As we head into our 54th year of business, this move will help guarantee that Keller Labs can effectively respond to the growing needs of our customers' practices and their patients," said Tom Keller, President of Keller Laboratories, Inc. "This takes a commitment on our part; a commitment to being responsive to the needs of our customers, and providing the highest level of technical services and resources the industry has to offer. Our goal is for 'the Keller experience' to exceed our customers expectations."
The new facility also boasts a 3,140-square foot Meridian Center, Keller's continuing education facility. Top clinicians from all over the country come to the Meridian Center to provide training in the state-of-the-art dental operatory and multi-media facility. Over 220 dentists received training during the Meridian Center's 2002 season.
In 1948, George Keller started Keller Laboratories in a downtown St. Louis location as the sole technician. In 1961, he employed three more technicians and moved to south St. Louis County. Sixteen more technicians were added over the next 12 years, and by 1973, the lab moved to Sunset Hills. In 1989, George Keller retired and his three sons, Ron, Bill, and Tom, took over ownership of the company. The Meridian Center, opened in 1996, is nationally recognized for the educational opportunities it allows Keller to make available to dental professionals.
Other symbols of Keller's growth over the last 50+ years include the addition of another production center in Louisville, KY, which opened in 1982, as well as the addition of a sales office in Kansas City, MO, in 1986. Keller Labs is currently over 150 people strong.
Keller is a market leader in providing solutions to the growing demands in dentistry, manufacturing dental prosthetics ranging from crowns, bridges, veneers, and dentures to bleaching trays used to whiten teeth, anti-snoring devices, and appliances for the treatment of migraine headaches.
