Chairside Connection: National Dental Hygiene Month

Oct. 24, 2024
Dr. Pam chats with two Philips Oral Healthcare education managers who are hygienists about the important role of dental hygienists in the success of dental practices.

October is an important month for dental hygienists—National Dental Hygiene Month!—and I didn't want to miss an opportunity to talk with two hygienists from Philips Oral Healthcare about the importance of their role. Cathy Stewart and Lindsey Dalley discuss what drew them to the profession.

They also talk about what they find most fulfilling in their careers, including when they see the lightbulb go on in a patient's mind when they're providing oral education tips. They enjoy the different relationships they form with their patients, and the different practices they've had the opportunities to work in.

Their educational roles at Philips help them spread important oral health care information to even more patients, dental hygienists, and dental hygiene students. What's their advice for those about to embark on a career in dental hygiene? And what's their advice for the seasoned members of the profession?

Listen to what we discuss and learn more about why your role as a dental hygienist is so critical to your dental practices.. Learn more about Philips Oral Healthcare.
