This four-unit veneer case is an awesome example of beginning with the end in mind and material-driven preparations.

This four-unit veneer case is an awesome example of beginning with the end in mind and material-driven preparations.

For beauty and strength, I chose e.max, specifically milled MO blocks to pull some color from my preps, but not too much.

My detailed process involves:

1) A custom shading process all clinical team members have learned (it's part of our clinical operating procedures)

2) A mock-up based off a scan (exocad design) washed putty matrix for intraoral visual and patient approval

3) Minimally prepped veneers based off knowing the:

🦷 start prep shade

🦷 desired final shade

💪🏽 needed material strength so we could be less than 0.5mm thin

4) At insert, try in paste. I’m a Variolink Esthetic guy, as the shades are a 1:1 correlation to the try in. There’s no shade shift post cure, and easy tack and cure clean up.
