New name better describes company's expanded range of services

e-dentist.com, Inc. (AMEX:EDT), a leading provider of e-Learning and business solutions to the healthcare industry, today announced its intention to change the Company's name to EDT Learning, Inc. pending approval by the Company's shareholders. The Company will continue to utilize the e-dentist name in the dental vertical and on the Web site located at www.e-dentist.com as a dental industry portal.

In commenting on the name change, James M. Powers, Jr., DDS, president and chief executive officer of e-dentist, said, "Our new name more adequately describes our expanding e-Learning services and expansion of our client base outside the dental vertical. With e-dentist, we developed a core competency training and technique for communicating with a non-technical audience. This move confirms our commitment to being an e-Learning provider to the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries as well as organizations outside the healthcare sector seeking to train and reach non-technical users."

In addition, the Company will continue to grow the e-dentist.com portal with new services. "While we have transitioned the Company from a dental management services organization to an e-Learning provider, we have retained our leadership position in providing a comprehensive dental portal," continued Dr. Powers. "The site continues to grow in its offerings, providing not only e-Learning services but also an array of dental practice tools to the 150,000 dentists across the United States. We remain affiliated with approximately 140 dentists in 100 dental offices in 29 states, with an additional 6,000 dentists that are Web site members."

Originally known as Pentegra Dental Group, a dental practice management firm, the Company changed its name to e-dentist in 2000 to reflect the Company's evolution to an Internet-based, e-Learning growth platform providing a wide range of diverse services to essentially every segment of the dental community and beyond.

Fiscal year 2001 was a period of intense activity and value creation as the Company totally reshaped its business into a respected and sought after e-Learning company with the Internet at the core of its efforts to reach out to the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.
