PISCATAWAY, New Jersey--Milestone Scientific, a leader in advanced injection technologies, has signed a nonexclusive supply and distribution agreement with Utah Medical Products, granting them rights to market and sell Milestone's proprietary CompuMed computer-controlled injection system to its North American customer base.
Kevin Cornwell, chief executive officer of Utah Medical Products, stated, "We believe the CompuMed system fits well with UTMD's focus to provide specialized, clinically effective solutions for women's health care, especially for the surgical management of [uterine] cervical disease."
With particular interest in health care for women and babies, Utah Medical Products develops, manufactures, assembles and markets a range of disposable and reusable specialty medical devices designed for better health outcomes for patients and their care providers.

CompuMed is a patented computer-controlled injection system geared to the needs of the medical market. The system allows many medical procedures, now requiring IV sedation, to be performed with only local anesthesia due to dramatic pain reduction. Also, dosages of local anesthetic can often be significantly reduced. This lessens side effects, accelerates recovery times, lowers costs, and helps eliminate potential complications.
