Minimally invasive dentistry hands-on seminars slated

ROCK HILL, South Carolina--KOMET USA, a leader in the production of specialized and precise dental rotary instruments, is teaming up with Ultradent Products, Inc. to sponsor a series of hands-on lectures presented by James Jesse, DDS, and Ron Kaminer, DDS.

These hands-on courses are for the entire dental team, will focus on minimally invasive dentistry and will be held at four different locations: San Antonio, Texas (March 28), Hasbrouck Heights, N.J. (April 11), Columbus, Ohio (April 25) and Norwich, Conn. (May 16 and 17).

The seminars, "21st Century Dentistry: High Tech, High Class, Minimally Invasive Dentistry for the Next Decade," will cover topics including:

* Minimally invasive dentistry--from early diagnosis to micro preps and invisible fillings

* High-tech dental hygiene

* Current concepts in non-surgical periodontal treatment

* How to get every person to agree to dental whitening

* 1-2-3-Endo—minimally invasive endodontics that make sense

* Dental lasers—truth or hype

* High-tech must-have gadgets for the 21st century practice

Pricing for the lectures are as follows: $395 per doctor, $295 per staff member or $495 for a doctor and up to 3 staff members. Participants can earn up to eight continuing education credits.

On the day of the course, registration will begin at 8:30 am, the courses will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and a continental breakfast and lunch will be served.

For the Norwich, Conn., event, the course will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on both days, and breakfast is included.

About James Jesse, DDS
Dr. Jesse graduated from Loma Linda University in Southern California in 1973. He has been in private practice in Colton, Calif., for 34 years. Dr. Jesse is an Associate Professor of Restorative Dentistry at Loma Linda University and Assistant Professor of Restorative Dentistry at Columbia University. Dr. Jesse continues to lecture nationally and internationally and is involved in research at both universities. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of Operative Dentistry and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Jesse is an Executive Board Member of the World Clinical Laser Institute. He is also a deputy sheriff with San Bernardino County, and enjoys boating, waterskiing and spending time with his family.

About Ron Kaminer, DDS
Dr. Kaminer graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1990. He practices in Laser and Comprehensive Dentistry in Hewlett, N.Y., and Oceanside, N.Y. He has lectured nationally on lasers in dentistry, and teaches dentists on using lasers in their practices. He is a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association and Academy of Operative Dentistry. He lives in Hewlett with his wife, Jackie, and three children.
