Dr. Henry A. Gremillion receives the Thaddeus V. Weclew Award
ST. PETERSBURG, Florida– The Dawson Academy would like to congratulate Dr. Henry A. Gremillion on his receipt of the prestigious Dr. Thaddeus V. Weclew Award from the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Gremillion was presented the Award by the AGD during its annual meeting in July 2008 in Orlando, Fla. The award is named after the founder of the AGD, and is presented annually to a dedicated educator who embodies the spirit of comprehensive dental care.
All recipients must be professional role models whose activities exemplify a commitment to the dental profession, and the AGD's principles and goals.
"I'm truly honored to receive an award named after Dr. Weclew who did so much for the world of dentistry," Dr. Gremillion said. "This profession is constantly changing and improving, and if you don't change and improve with it, you'll never be able to provide the best possible care for your patients; and that's what our job is all about. I'm trying to make a difference here at The Dawson Academy by teaching dentists a multidisciplinary approach to diagnosing and treating head, neck, and orofacial pain and sleep disorders. All dentists understand that we are so much more than filling caries and placing veneers."
Dr. Gremillion is the executive vice president of academic affairs at the Dawson Academy and the Parker E. Mahan Endowed Professor of Orofacial Pain at the University of Florida, College of Dentistry.
