Sybron continuing education center

ORANGE, California--Sybron Dental Specialties has announced opening of the Sybron Learning Center.

The continuing education center is designed to provide dental professionals the opportunity to demonstrate and learn cutting-edge best practices.

The 15,000-plus square-foot facility, located adjacent to the Disneyland Resort Theme Parks in Anaheim, Calif., will have a ribbon cutting ceremony Oct. 28, 2010, to commemorate the occasion.

The learning center is equipped with the latest laboratory and multimedia technologies, including full film and broadcast capability, a primary surgery suite, a 200-seat auditorium and a 50-person bench laboratory with adjoining observation room, four fully functional operatories and an X-ray room equipped with 3-D panoramic, pan/ceph, and intraoral X-ray imaging.

Continuing education through our network of key opinion leaders has always been a Sybron trademark for spreading the message on our great products and new technologies.”

The SLC will offer multi-disciplinary, cross-functional programs encompassing a range of topics and the latest trends in dentistry, including implants, endodontics, restorative dentistry, general dentistry and orthodontics. The high-tech facility enables Sybron Dental Specialties to offer continuing education in a variety of formats, including lectures, video presentations, computer-assisted self-learning, hands-on demonstrations, and live-patient procedures.

Heading up the initiative is SLC Director Michelle Sawicki, who commented: “At Sybron Dental Specialties, we understand the importance of continuing education in helping dental professionals enhance their techniques and their practices. The Sybron Learning Center is the latest in our ongoing commitment to education that will ultimately help our customers better serve their patients.”

The Sybron Learning Center was made possible by the generous contributions of equipment from several companies. This includes furnishings for all operatories, including cabinetry, seating, lighting, monitor mounts, hand pieces, water treatment, vacuums, a fully equipped sterilization lab, and compressors.

Furnishings for the hands-on Bench Lab include stations precisely designed to fit our lab's learning needs and are equipped to operate 50 stations simultaneously. The Bench Lab also includes custom designed chairs and 2 wet labsl.

Furnishings for the X-ray room, include the i-CAT cone beam CT scanner, orthopantomograph, intraoral cameras, intraoral X-ray machines, and sensor combo kits. Practice management and imaging software also is part of the center.
