Dentist installed as president of Academy of General Dentistry
CHICAGO, Illinois—The Academy of General Dentistry has announced that Jeffrey M. Cole, DDS, MBA, FAGD, of Wilmington, Del., was installed as president of the association during the 2012 Annual Meeting & Exhibits June 21-24 in Philadelphia, Pa.
“It is an exciting time in the field of dentistry and it’s an honor to lead the AGD’s 37,000 members,” said Dr. Cole.
“Members can expect that the organization will continue to work tirelessly to advocate and protect the rights of general dentists, as well as work to ensure that the public receives the highest quality of oral care. The AGD will continue to make the public aware of the dangers that can result from receiving treatment from alternative oral health care providers; specifically, that these providers do not have the education necessary to make diagnoses or to perform irreversible surgical dental procedures.”
