The CS 3000 is a Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) tool featuring a 4-axis brushless motor that produces high-quality restorations with ± 25 µm accuracy. The system’s compact design and quiet, vibration-free milling allow practitioners to use the machine anywhere, even chairside. Additionally, the CS 3000’s sturdy construction provides high torsion-resistance with minimum deviation for precise milling, even after years of use. The average milling time for a crown is less than 15 minutes. “As Carestream Dental enters into this new product category, we want to have strong partners who provide versatile block offerings,” said Edward Shellard, D.M.D., chief marketing officer and director of business development for Carestream Dental. “Our partnership with 3M ESPE further expands the variety of materials that practitioners can use with the CS 3000, enabling us to better accommodate doctors’ preferences.”3M ESPE Lava Ultimate Restorative FAQs Made possible with 3M’s unique nanotechnology, Lava Ultimate Restorative is a new material class called a resin nano ceramic. It offers a combination of durability, polish retention and gentleness to opposing teeth, providing excellent aesthetics and strength. With Lava Ultimate Restorative, patients experience a tooth-like bite feel with less wear to the opposing dentition than with glass ceramics. Should the underlying dentition need additional treatment or repair, the material can be easily modified to achieve a real tooth structure. The resin nano ceramic material is designed for long-term durability and backed by a 10-year warranty. This makes Lava Ultimate Restorative an ideal option for efficiently treating inlay, onlay, and posterior crown cases. “Our Lava Ultimate Restorative is characterized and finished without firing, which dramatically reduces production time,” said Kristan Chesnut, global business director with 3M Digital Oral Care. “This convenience, combined with the CS 3000’s quick milling time, allows dentists to rest assured that they will not have to sacrifice workflow efficiency for precise, durable restorations.” “Our goal has always been to provide practices with the resources and options they need to offer the best patient care possible,” Dr. Shellard said. “We constantly take steps to accomplish this, and we will continue to vet new partners who consistently offer tried-and-true solutions to complement our CS Solutions portfolio and other product offerings.” For more information about the CS 3000 and the rest of CS Solutions, call (800) 944.6365 or visit their website.
