PDI won the 2011 WOW Innovation Award for its new Sani-Cloth AF Germicidal Disposable Wipe.
The WOW International Conference is sponsored by the INDA, a trade association representing the nonwoven fabrics industry since 1968, and a sponsor of engineered, fabric-related conferences and expositions.The WOW Award recognizes companies that bring innovative, value-added processes and products to the wipes marketplace.
Sani-Cloth AF is a fragrance-free, alcohol-free, quaternary-based surface disinfection wipe with an overall kill time of three minutes. Marketed to the health-care industry, it balances claims with safety for patients, visitors, health-care workers and equipment.
It has tested effective against 25 clinically relevant microorganisms, including five multi-drug resistant organisms such as MRSA and VRE. Being fragrance-free, Sani-Cloth AF can be used around patients and residents with respiratory conditions and other sensitivities. It is also intended for bleach- and alcohol-sensitive equipment, as well as other hard, nonporous surfaces.
