ELMSFORD, New York--ImageWorks, a provider of imaging products to the dental, medica,l and veterinary marketplace, has announced completion of an agreement with the Yoshida Dental for the distribution of the Panoura 18S. ImageWorks will begin distributing the Panoura 18S, a digital 3-in-1 panoramic X-ray system, on Sept. 1, 2011. ImageWorks will have exclusive distribution rights for the Panoura 18S in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and will also distribute the product on a nonexclusive basis across Latin and South America. The company indicated that it had previously distributed the Panoura Ultra, an analog predecessor of the Panoura 18S, for a number of years and that the product was reliable and well-supported.Marc Thacher, vice president of sales at ImageWorks, commented: “We are excited to introduce the latest Yoshida panoramic system. With a user-adjustable focal trough, errant images can be brought back into focus after acquisition. At various speeds, the Panoura 18S can take a quick pan of six seconds, up to a 16-second pan for maximum resolution. In the near future, ImageWorks will introduce the 3-D upgrade component for a multiple field of view imaging.
