Partnership stressing good oral hygiene habits, nutrition, and regular trips to the dentist.

In celebration of NationalChildren's Dental Health Month (NCDHM) this February, the Oklahoma Dental Association (ODA) and Braum's Ice Cream and Dairy Stores are joining forces to remind Oklahoma children about the basics of caring for their teeth.
Throughout February, kid's meals served at all 125 Braum's stores in Oklahoma, will include a tooth-shaped toothbrush holder and cover (while supplies last; toothbrush not included).
In addition to the kid's meal toothbrush holders and covers, posters will be displayed at Braum's stores across the state. The "Super Smile Squad" posters will feature the super dental heroes, "Floss," "Toothbrush," "Toothpaste" and "Milk," and will stress the basics of good oral health: brushing and flossing each day, eating and drinking nutritional food, and regular visits to a dentist. Special NCDHM tray liners, with games about dental health, will also be used.
"Tartar, tooth decay and cavities are serious foes to everyone's smile," Andrew Guthrie, DDS said. "Regularly practicing good dental health habits can defeat such problems before they start. The Oklahoma Dental Association truly appreciates Braum's support in helping to remind Oklahomans of all ages, in a
light-hearted way, about the importance of obtaining and maintaining good oral health."
"This is the second year in a row that Braum's has teamed with the ODA to promote National Children's Dental Health Month," Drew Braum, president of Braum's, said. "We're proud to be a part of the effort to encourage Oklahoma kids to practice good dental habits. We're able to help by raising public awareness of the importance of dental health, while also offering quality,
calcium-rich products that help build healthy teeth."
