The National Dental Association (NDA), the largest international organization of minority oral health professionals, has awarded two of its most coveted awards to Naomi Eckhardt, the vice president of marketing for 1-800-DENTIST®. Eckhardt was presented with the NDA Corporate Award and the Women Dentists Award during the 91st Annual NDA Convention in Los Angeles.

"Naomi's exemplary leadership has been invigorating and has provided the group with a renewed sense of purpose that we deeply appreciate," said Dr. Joy A. Jordan, president of the NDA. "We present these awards to Naomi with the complete acknowledgement and understanding of the sacrifices she has made to establish a standard of excellence for the future growth and development of the NDA organization."

The NDA Corporate Award recognizes Eckhardt for her passion and commitment to the ideals of the NDA in addition to her contributions as a member of the NDA Corporate Roundtable and as co-chair of the organization's scholarship committee. The Women Dentists Award of Excellence is a tribute to acknowledge women in the dental industry who make significant contributions to grow and promote the mission of the NDA.

Eckhardt has served as vice president of marketing for 1-800-DENTIST, the nation's leading dental referral service and cooperative marketing company, since 2000. She is also an active member of the development committee for The Children's Dental Center, a non-profit organization and comprehensive oral health care center in Inglewood, Calif. Prior to joining 1-800-DENTIST's management team, Eckhardt worked in the advertising, telecommunications and sports marketing industries.
