DryerPliers, Inc. has introduced a set of two pliers for use in placing and removing sectional matrix bands. DryerPliers are designed in either mesial or distal orientations to allow a firm grasp of the band at the proper clinical angle for placement. The custom-contoured tips follow the three-dimensional curvatures of the matrix bands. This “hand-in-glove” fit will not deform the thin band, but produces tremendous retentive strength for removal after curing. DryerPliers will work with all sectional matrix band systems.

Airflow from the self-contained unit descends slowly over an individual’s head, creating a cone-shaped zone of clean air approximately 3 feet in diameter. At least 99.95 percent of all airborne particles greater than 0.3 microns are removed, including viruses, bacteria, mite dust, and pollen. Complete mobility and articulated neck design allows easy positioning for maximum effect.

Airsonett Airshower comes with a five-year limited warranty and can be operated around the clock. For more information, call (706) 579-2226 or visit www.airsonett.com.

Vident's Torq Control™ torque wrench

Calibrated torquing of implants can only be reliably produced by using a precision instrument such as the Torq Control torque wrench. The Torq Control contra-angle wrench is a declutching manual instrument that is easily adjustable from 10 to 35 Ncm. Precision calibration stops the screw action when optimal torque is achieved.

The Torq Control is easier to handle than a ratchet-style wrench, and allows easier access to the posterior region. It also is 100° oriented against the contra-angle axis for easy access to screws. And torque adjustment is done directly on the contra-angle, eliminating the need for removable torque drivers. Its cast, solid design makes it easy to clean, and it can be autoclaved at 135°C (275°F).
