In response to popular demand, the American Association of Dental Office Managers (AADOM) is pleased to offer a virtual study club to members beginning in June. A significant number of AADOM members have asked for a way to connect with each other on a personal yet educational level. In addition to our message board and annual conference, the Virtual Study Club will be a members-only opportunity for career enhancement and intense networking.
The study club host is AADOM lifetime member Teresa Duncan, MS, president of Odyssey Management, Inc. As a former full-time and now part-time office manager, Teresa understands the challenges practice leaders face daily. “The job is extremely rewarding but it can also be isolating. When I found AADOM, I realized that I had a support network second to none. I want to give back to that very special community.”
The initial study club package consists of a six-month module that will feature guest speakers such as Debbie Castagna and Virginia Moore of The Practice Source, Judy Kay Mausolf, and Ginny Hegarty. The courses are scheduled to run monthly from June to November. Members can also take advantage of an ultimate education package that offers special pricing for the AADOM Annual Conference that will be October 22-23 in Las Vegas. That package offers up to 16 credits toward AADOM’s Fellowship Achievement. Visit http://www.dentalmanagers.com/UltimateEducation/ for more information.
The AADOM is an organization of professional office managers, practice administrators, patient coordinators, insurance and financial coordinators, and treatment coordinators of general and specialized dental practices. The largest association of its kind, its mission is to provide members with networking, resources, and education to help them achieve the highest level of professional development. For more information, call (732) 842-9977 or e-mail [email protected].
Members are taking advantage of the special pricing for the study club plus conference. AADOM members are extremely proud of their members-only message board where they can submit questions. By the end of the day, someone will have e-mailed the member privately or responded publicly on the forum. At the annual conference it's always fun to hear members say, "Finally! I can put a face with a name!" because they've interacted so much already.
The study club is further proof of AADOM's commitment to career excellence.
