Trying to grow your influencer game? Think two words: sprint versus sustainability.

I get your desire to sprint; we all want to grow as fast as we can. But without strong systems that drive sustainability, sprinters get tired. That's why we only see a select few who are staying successful. Our goal should be to stay in the game long term, and for that we need marathon stamina and sustainable success.

Sure, follow the trends. But get selective with your partners. Get honest—only work with the people and products you really love and believe in. Get outside of what is now traditional social media.  Learn to write, because dental writers have been around for decades and still have massive influence. Leverage in-person time whenever you can.

Dentistry is a small community. Everyone is watching you grow. They’re also watching if you’re building real relationships. Remember: we only get seven seconds to crush our first impression, so be strategic, be prepared, and be willing to help before being helped.
