Monday Huddle: What drives you crazy at work?

Jan. 12, 2023
Dr. David Rice talks about how to make what drives you nuts in the dental practice go away. Hint: it has something to do with vision and culture and habits.
David R. Rice, DDS, Chief editor

Here’s what drives me crazy. During this time of year, we often have the heat on. Someone who is not treating patients gets chilly, so they turn the thermostat up. Then, someone who is treating patients battles back. The windows get cracked open … the fireplace goes on … and repeat.

True, vision is important. Yes, culture matters. However, most of the time it’s our day-to-day habits that either make us—or make us crazy!

When your vision leads to your culture, which then guides your habits, and your habits stay aligned to build your culture, which supports your vision, most of what drives you cuckoo goes away.
