GC AMERICA to introduce new multi-purpose light-cured composites

Feb. 22, 2005
Gradia Direct LoFlo and Gradia Direct Flo light-cured flowable composites will be introduced at the Chicago Midwinter Meeting.

GC AMERICA will be introducing at the Chicago Midwinter Meeting, Gradia Direct LoFlo and Gradia Direct Flo light-cured flowable composites. These multi-purpose light-cured composites are both radiopaque, fluoride releasing, highly filled micro-hybrid resins. Two self-adapting formulas have been designed to best accommodate every application (technique) requirement.

Gradia¿ Direct LoFlo takes advantage of GC's new HDR (High Density Radiopaque Pre-polymerized Filler) technology. This technology allows for excellent radiopacity while providing physical properties (strength and wear) similar to traditional composites making it ideal as a final restorative in all primary and conservative permanent restorations. Its highly filled formula ensures exceptionally low shrinkage, this along with its optimal flow characteristics, ensures better adaptation to proximal and cervical walls and internal line angels reducing the risk of contraction stress and microleakage.

Gradia Flo, our less viscous version, because of its fluid handling properties is typically used to restore undercuts, as a liner/base under direct restoratives, and as a 60 second sealant when used in conjunction with GC G-Bond one component Self-Etching Light-Cured Adhesive.

Both products are packaged in 1.5g syringes, either 2 or 4 per box. Each box will come with a supply of 4 tips. Gradia Direct Flo and Gradia Direct LoFlo both come in 7 shades: A1, A2, A3, A3.5, AO3, CV (Cervical Color), and BW (Bleaching White).

Gradia Direct Flo and Gradia¿ Direct LoFlo have indication for the following:

1. Restoration of Class I, II, III, IV, V cavities (particularly for small Class I cavities / shallow Class V cavities / other small cavities.
2. Restoration of root surface caries.
3. Restorations in deciduous teeth.
4. Filling tunnel shaped cavities.
5. Sealing hypersensitive areas.
6. Liner/Base/Filling in cavity undercuts.
7. Sealant.
8. Fixation of mobile teeth.
9. Additions to composite restorations.
