Success in 7 Minutes: PerioProtect trays can take patients from a disease state to health

April 10, 2023
Drs. Pamela Maragliano-Muniz and Howard Glazer talk about how PerioProtect trays can help in the battle to combat bacteria and biofilm. And it’s easy!

We often experience what feels like a losing battle against bacteria and biofilm, but now there’s a way we can help combat this: PerioProtect trays.

PerioProtect is a really cool technology that we’re using in our practices. The trays are custom fabricated by a lab. The patient puts hydrogen peroxide solution (or a medicinal solution if indicated) into the tray and wears it similar to a bleaching tray. The tray forces the hydrogen peroxide all the way down to the base of the pocket. This is particularly useful for SRP patients if they don’t respond to treatment or aren’t as compliant as they should be.

Anyone can deliver the trays (dentist, hygienist, assistant, even office staff), and we’re seeing amazing results in the reduction of bleeding and inflammation, as well as lower pocket depths.

We’re always looking for things that are faster, easier, and better, and PerioProtect checks all those boxes. Join us in this episode of Success in 7 Minutes, as we discuss how PerioProtect trays can take your patients from a disease state to health, easily and reliably.
