It’s training day for my intraoral scanner

May 21, 2021
Dr. Pamela Maragliano-Muniz continues her journey of buying and implementing an intraoral scanner in her dental practice. Here, she discusses how the virtual training went and what her team has learned so far.

Welcome to the continuation of my journey to buy an intraoral scanner and implement it in my dental office. I previously posted a video about my selection criteria for a scanner and another video about the scanner I decided was right for my practice and why—the 3Shape Trios 4. Then came the unboxing!

I’m so excited about my purchase. Since I last saw you, we had our scanner training. In this video, I’ll tell you what it meant for us as a group, how the virtual training went, and the things we learned about how the scanner would affect our different workflows, particularly for restorative and working with labs.

Next week, we’re going to start scanning our patients, and I’ll let you know how it goes.
