The flosser features stronger, more durable floss and has a narrower thin side to fit easier under the arch wire. The handle material has also been improved. In addition, PDT uses a higher-quality polymer.

A patient can floss with braces in a minute while on the go. The Platypus was invented by Laura Morgan, RDH, and developed by PDT.

The Platypus is efficient and simple to use. It includes a rigid bracket brush for removing food particles from around the brackets. Patient compliance has been proven successful in clinical practice with an increase from 3% to 85%.

The Platypus is packaged in a new instructional bag: Item T106 = 1 bag of 30 flossers.

Terri Tilliss, RDH, PhD, professor in the graduate orthodontics department at the University of Colorado says of the Platypus, “Much improved. I like it even better now."
