Heraeus Kulzer Inc., the North American dental subsidiary of Hanau, Germany-based Heraeus Kulzer GmbH, has announced the unveiling of its new and improved HeraCeram porcelain system at the recent 2005 Dental Dialogue meeting in Anaheim, Calif.
At the Heraeus Kulzer booth several clinicians and technicians, including Victor Rodriguez, CDT; Jerry Cruz, CDT; Craig Nelson, CDT; and Mario Russo, MDT; shared their personal expertise with visitors. They also provided technique tips on indirect provisionals (JelTemps), removables (denture acrylic Palajet System, Artic and Premium denture teeth), all-ceramic restorations (HeraCeramPress) and PFM restorations (HeraCeram).
Throughout each day of the show, Cruz and Yuri Polyak, CDT lectured and presented expert build-up demonstrations to show the advantages of light dynamics as applied to the creation of fixed restoratives and high-aesthetic value of HeraCeram's synthetic porcelain.
In addition, Heraeus Kulzer offered seven hands-on build-up sessions for 10 technicians at a time to sit down and sample HeraCeram firsthand. During the interactive session the technicians gained firsthand experience in a simple two-powder build-up. "No other restoration material offers the clarity and vitality of HeraCeram porcelain. It provides not only unmatched aesthetics, but also a wealth of proven physical characteristics that ensure reliable performance," said Allen Shapiro, director of marketing for Heraeus Kulzer's laboratory division.
As a promotion, visitors who came to the booth were eligible to enter the daily drawing to win 1 of 2 grand prize iPod minis. The recipients of the grand prize daily drawings were Gilbert Rodriguez from Creative Dental Lab and Catherine Lee from F A B Dental Lab. During the hands-on build-up sessions, additional iPods were awarded. Some of the winners of the iPod minis and shuffles are as follows:
