V-FlashT Desktop Modeler launched at world conference

3D Systems expects to place up to 100 systems in the marketplace before the end of the year.

ROCK HILL, South Carolina--3D Systems Corporation, a leading provider of 3-D modeling, rapid prototyping and manufacturing solutions, has announced the launch of its fast, compact V-FlashT Desktop Modeler.

The modelert builds ready-to-use models within hours at home, school or office workstations.

This highly anticipated modeler enables designers, engineers, hobbyists and students to imagine, design and produce their ideas at their desks. The V-FlashT Desktop Modeler is the first product that 3D Systems plans to bring to market based on its breakthrough fourth technology platform, called Film Transfer Imaging.

3D Systems expects to conduct a managed phased roll-out of its V-FlashT Desktop Modeler, starting in the United States following its World Conference this week. The company anticipates expanding the marketing reach of the V-FlashT Modeler into Europe during the first quarter of 2008.

It expects to place up to 100 systems in the marketplace before the end of the year. Together with Dreve, 3D Systems also expects to launch of the V-FlashT HA 230 hearing aid manufacturing system later this year. Dreve develops and manufactures resins, including resins used for the manufacture of hearing aid shells and ear molds.
