DALLAS--D4D Technologies has announced that Ivoclar Vivadent's high-strength IPS e.max CAD LT is now available for restorations fabricated with its E4D Dentist system.

The IPS e.max CAD LT material is nearly three times the strength of other millable ceramics for chairside restorative systems such as the E4D Dentist and is available in 13 shades and two block sizes (C14 and I12).

"With IPS e.max CAD LT, all E4D dentists can be more confident in placing Same Day all-ceramic restorations in clinical cases where they tended to prescribe indirectly-fabricated PFM (porcelain fused to metal) restorations and e.max CAD LT an ideal restorative material for implant cases" said Dr. Gary Severance, vice president of clinical affairs for D4D Technologies.

"Also the fact that an e.max CAD restoration can be placed using either the adhesive technique or conventional cementation protocol, depending on preparation design, makes this type of restoration more versatile than many others," he added.

IPS e.max CAD LT is a lithium disilicate formulation that is provided in a semi-crystallized for more efficient milling, intraoral try-in and adjustment and then is fully crystallized in a ceramic oven prior to final placement.

e.max CAD LT blocks and accessories are available through Henry Schein Dental for the E4D Dentist System.
