A new self-adhesive and self-curing glass ionomer restorative material, 3M Ketac Universal Aplicap, was designed with efficiency and easy handling in mind.
Dentists know that caries-prone patients can often be restless, so speed is important when treating them. Whether working with children, teens, or geriatric patients, dentists need effective restorative options that can be placed quickly. A new restorative material, 3M Ketac Universal Aplicap glass ionomer restorative, offers fewer steps, easy handling, and reduced chair time, so dentists can get patients on their way fast with fluoride-releasing restorations strong enough for long-term use.
Ketac Universal Aplicap is a self-adhesive and self-curing restorative material, so it eliminates the need for conditioning, coating, or light-curing steps, enabling an efficient procedure—just place, sculpt, and you’re done. The material’s low stickiness adds to its easy handling, and due to its compressive strength and surface hardness, it can be used according to the manufacturer's instructions for restricted stress-bearing Class I and II restorations. It can also be placed in bulk, eliminating the need for layering.
The restorative is available in an Aplicap delivery system with a new nozzle design that gives dentists improved access to deep cavities. It is available in six shades.
