Parkell, a recognized global leader in dental materials and equipment manufacturing for over 70 years, is proud to introduce the new Predicta Bioactive Cement.
Predicta Bioactive Cement fills and seals microgaps with robust hydroxyapatite formation at the margin, and thereby alleviates or prevents microleakage, which is otherwise associated with recurrent decay.* By combining all the properties and performance benefits of premium universal resin cements with bioactivity, Parkell proudly offers a cement that gives crown margins unprecedented protection against secondary caries.
“We are extremely excited to introduce Predicta Bioactive Cement,” says David Mott, President of Parkell. “It’s the result of years of research by our top-notch chemical team, who worked in close collaboration with universities and practicing dentists and the results and feedback have been tremendous.
“Predicta Cement is a gorgeous product, which combines all of the premium properties and performance of traditional resin cements with robust hydroxyapatite formation at the margin and in microgaps. This, in turn, was found to equate to complete microgap occlusion as well as alleviation or prevention of microleakage (which is otherwise associated with an increased incidence of secondary caries).
“In this manner, Predicta Cement achieves what Parkell has been striving for with all our bioactive products — a premium experience for dentists and increased confidence for better protection and positive patient outcomes!”
Predicta Bioactive Cement is a self-adhesive, self-etching, dual-cure resin cement indicated for luting crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays and posts (prefabricated metal/non-metal/fiber posts). It has outstanding bond strengths across a full range of indications, including zirconia, without the need for primers. It also contains MDP for strong bonds to zirconia.
Predicta Bioactive Cement provides optimal viscosity and consistency for easy handling and easy cleanup. It is highly radiopaque and has a low film thickness for complete seating of restorations with no post-op sensitivity. It is currently available in Translucent and A2 shades.
