A stand out applicant, Michelle’s vision and efforts align with the message and mission of Pros in the Profession through her nonprofit work. While living in a retirement community, Michelle noticed prevalence of poor oral care among her elderly patients as a result of an overall lack of health resources. Determined to make a difference, she founded Senior Mobile Dental, a nonprofit mobile access clinic, which serves elderly community directly in their nursing homes. This year alone, Michelle and Senior Mobile Dental have provided over $500,000 worth of care to nursing homes around the Colorado area.
As a winner, Michelle will receive an all-expense paid trip to the Procter & Gamble German Innovation Center at Kronberg, Germany; $1,000 USD monetary prize; a recognition plaque; and acknowledgment in dental periodicals, on the Crest + Oral-B Dental Professionals Facebook page, and on Dentalcare.com.
In order to be considered for the Pros in the Profession program, nominees must have two or more years of clinical/professional experience after graduating from dental hygiene school; participate in community service; and provide examples of exceptional work. If you, or someone you know, meet these criteria, please visit facebook.com/professionalcrestoralb or prosintheprofession.com to nominate them for this coveted award.
