Tufts AAWD participated in a Women's Health Fair at Bethel Baptist Church in Roxbury, Mass., on Oct. 20, 2003. This Health Fair, organized by Tufts Public Health Coordinator Vivian Stephens-Hicks, was the first the church has had. It turned out to be a success with more than 35 attendees. Tufts AAWD provided screenings with the help of Dr. Zandparsa, AAWD faculty advisor, and the many Tufts AAWD members gave brushing and flossing instruction to both adults and children. The attendees received toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss and numerous pamphlets.
