I am writing this letter to say thank you so very much for giving me the opportunity to have my smile back. Bobbie, an employee at Hackley Community Care Dental Office, introduced me to the Smiles for Success Foundation. She suggested that I submit a letter to Smiles for Success explaining the circumstances surrounding my inability to obtain the necessary treatment for my teeth.
I am a 55-year-old college student, working on my associate's degree in arts and science. I am only working part-time as work-study at the college, and my funds are extremely limited. Through the aid of the Smiles for Success program, I can now smile! My partial was falling apart — the teeth had been broken and it did not fit my mouth properly anymore. I was extremely self-conscious. Now that I have a new partial, my self-esteem has been boosted! I am much more confident and happy as a result.
I have a year to go before I get my degree. At that time, I will be able to go to job interviews feeling confident about my appearance. It will make a world of difference to me. The services provided by Dr. Plamback and his entire staff were outstanding! They helped and guided me through the entire process. I would like to thank them very much for their patience! I would also like to thank the donors who make Smiles for Success possible. I am so glad that there are supportive people willing to help those of us who are less fortunate.
