The American Association of Women Dentists, the North Shore Women's Dental Group, and Sullivan-Schein Dental will present two seminars in Chicago this September especially for women dentists.

Join us on Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., as we present a full day of education, networking, and fun at the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel. The morning begins with a topic every dental office needs to know: "Preparation for a Changing World — Are You Ready?" — The "Disaster" Role of the General Dentist, presented by Capt. Larry N. Williams, DDS, Great Lakes Naval Base.

Because of the disasters of September 11, the world that we live in has become a different place. We as general dentists have the proper patient-care skills and scientific background that, with the proper training, will enable us to be important potential contributors to such future emergency response efforts. This course will introduce the general dentist to the following concepts: potential threats, community preparation/ action, community resources, and more.

After lunch, we will present "Your Professional Image: Sending the Right Messages," presented by Jill Bremer, AICI, CIP, president of Bremer Communications.

How are you perceived by others? What messages are you sending through your image choices? This fun and interactive workshop will help you define your personal image and the first impressions you make on patients and the public. You'll learn wardrobe strategies to help you create the image of success, including the "Four Levels of Dress," dressing for your body type, and how to get maximum looks from minimum pieces. This workshop is appropriate for members, office managers, and staff.
