October 17-21 is National Business Women's Week, sponsored by Business and Professional Women/USA.
Since 1928 BPW/USA, other women's organizations, businesses, and the media have utilized this week as an opportunity to acknowledge and highlight the accomplishments of working women and their important role in the business community.
Every President of the United States since Herbert Hoover has declared the third full week in October as National Business Women's Week.
NBWW provides an excellent opportunity to do special coverage of working women, their many accomplishments and the important role they play in the economy of this country.
In addition, in depth coverage of issues of importance to workingwomen such as pay equity, fairness in the workplace and work-life balance issues would be of interest to women across the country.
Every year BPW/USA Local Organizations across the county hold Forums, give Women of the Year and Employer of the Year Awards, host special exhibits and events, and receive government proclamations declaring the third full week of October National Business Women's Week.
Please contact BPW/USA to learn what is happening in your state.
