The preview program for the annual Pacific Northwest Dental Conference (PNDC), July 25-26 in Seattle, is now available. Complete conference information and event registration are available by mail and at the Washington State Dental Association (WSDA) Web site, www.wsda.org. The 2002 conference marks the 115th year of the WSDA's annual scientific session.
Up to 12 continuing education credits can be earned by attending the two-day conference at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center, depending on individual state requirements. More than 40 speakers, many nationally known, will lecture to members of the dental team on the latest trends in dental technology and technique, patient care, practice management and financial planning.
Several workshops are also available for CE credit, and a "Breakfast with the Experts" roundtable session may be used for credit depending on session topic and state guidelines.
Some lecture topics include:
* "Mastering Aesthetics and Adhesion-The Pursuit of Excellence" with David S. Hornbrook, DDS
* "Emergency Medicine" with Stanley F. Malamed, DDS
* "Creating Endodontic Excellence" with Clifford J. Ruddle, DDS and John D. West, DDS
* "Cases Only a Mother Could Love" and "Oral Pathology for the Joy of It: You are the Object of my Infection" with John A. Svirsky, DDS, MEd
* "Biological Solutions to Biological Problems: The Future of Dentistry" with Harold C. Slavkin, DDS
More than 390 exhibitors will participate in the trade show with hands-on displays and demonstrations of the most recent advances in dental technology and materials. NORDIC will sponsor golf swing analysis with a PGA teaching professional through its booth in the hall.
The PNDC is the largest dental conference in the Northwest, drawing approximately 10,000 dental professionals each year for its nationally recognized speakers and opportunities for continuing education.
