NMD Kicks Off National Tour of Traveling Exhibit MouthPower®
The National Museum of Dentistry kicked off a national tour of its MouthPower® Traveling Exhibition with a cutting ceremony at the ADA Annual Session in San Francisco. Attendees were the first to see MouthPower, an innovative new exhibition designed to help young people across the country discover the power of a healthy smile.
"This new traveling exhibition will bring museums and local dental communities together to deliver important oral health messages to the public," said the National Museum of Dentistry's Executive Director Rosemary Fetter. "Local dental associations will be able to partner with host museums to promote MouthPower and plan educational programs that will enhance oral health education throughout the country."
Developed with a grant from Colgate-Palmolive, the exhibition kicked off a national tour at the ADA Annual Session in San Francisco Sept. 27–29, 2007. It travels to the Children's Museum of Stockton (October-December 2007) and the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana, Calif. (February-April 2008). The tour continues to Sci-Quest hands-on science center in Huntsville, Ala. (June-August 2008), Storm Lake Iowa Public Library (September-December 2008), and the ADA Headquarters in Chicago (January-April 2009).
